Do you know what a geoduck is?

No, it's not a new species of the fictional Pokemon. A geoduck is a species of very large, edible saltwater clam. Geoducks are native to the west coast of Canada and the northwest coast of the United States and are also known to be that largest burrowing clams in the world.

These creatures are also one of the longest-living animals of any type, with a lifespan of up to 140 years.

Geoducks are harvested for commercial use as its meat is prized as a savory culinary dish. It is also regarded by some as an aphrodisiac, as research showed that it is rich in amino acids that trigger increased levels of sex hormones.

In the video, you can see how geoducks are harvested. First, a powerful nozzle that ejects high-pressured water is used to loosen the substrate around them. Then they are collected by hand, with the person harvesting them digging deep past his elbow level, to get them. They are then placed in crates for transport to a processing facility.
