She has done collaborations with other artists such as the late Whitney Houston in the ballad "When You Believe". Houston died in February 11, 2012 after being found in her guest room in the Beverly Hills Hilton. The cause of her death, according to the coroner, was accidentally drowning in the bathtub with heart disease and cocaine as contributing factors.

Mariah got to relive the moment they sang the song together during the opening of her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour at the stage of SSE Hydro in Glasgow. In what was probably the highlight of her concert that night, Mariah sang along to the original track of "When You Believe" with the video playing in the background rather than bringing a Whitney impersonator to act on the stage with her.
