The courtship dance of the Superb bird-of-paradise

The Superb bird-of-paradise is a common bird seen throughout the country of New Guinea. The males are black with some bluish-green accents on the breast and head. The most amazing features of this bird is its ability to pull up its feather cape making a spectacular oblong shape.

When courting, the male bird stretches its feather cape and then dances in front of the female. But every female has the right to rejects its suitors. The females are brown in colors, same as the young birds.
