This Robot can stand up after being knocked down

According to their website, "Boston Dynamics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Google, Inc. which began as a spin-off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where National Academy of Engineering member Marc Raibert and his colleagues first developed robots that ran and maneuvered like animals."

A video released by the same company gave us a sneak peek of a 5 ft. 9 in., 180 lbs. humanoid robot that walks upright. They named it Atlas, probably from the Greek mythology’s Titan god of endurance and astronomy, condemned to hold up the sky for eternity.

In the video below, Atlas could be seen opening doors, carrying 10-pound boxes, walking on snow, and even standing up after it is pushed down. Watch this amazing scientific progress in the video!
