Egg-shaped coffins will turn your departed loved ones into Trees

Who knew that you can go green even after you die?

Capsula Mundi, according to its website,
An egg-shaped pod, an ancient and perfect form, made of biodegradable material, where our departed loved ones are placed for burial.
Anna Citelli and Raoul Bretzel were the two designers who came up with this idea in an attempt for greener cemeteries and burials.

They envisioned the creation of sacred forests as, after all, a tree or seed will be planted over the top of the pod. In turn, this tree or seed will use the nutrients from the decomposing body as fertilizer for its growth.

It's a still a design concept as, according to reports, it's still not an actual option for everyone as it depends on the regulations about burials and cemeteries of where you are from.

But imagine giving life after you've lost yours. Or imagine hugging a tree instead of a tombstone of your loved one. Now isn't that pretty cool?
