What happened to the 12 Apostles?
The apostles were Jesus' primary disciples and his closest followers.
They became the primary teachers of the gospel message of Jesus, wherein Christian tradition refers to them as being twelve in number.

According to the same tradition, all but one were martyred as John died of natural causes on the Isle of Patmos in the Aegean Sea.
So the big question is... how did the rest of the 12 apostles die?
The first apostle is Peter, he was crucified upside-down on a cross. James, the son of Zebedee, was beheaded while the other James, the son of Alphaeus, was thrown down from the pinnacle of a temple but survived the fall so he was beaten to death. Then Andrew was crucified on an X-shaped cross. Matthew was stabbed by a sword while Thomas was stabbed with a spear. Bartholomew or Nathanael was flayed to death with a whip. Paul was beheaded by order of Emperor Nero. Jude clubbed to death and his head was then shattered with a broad ax. Philip was tortured and then crucified, whereas Simon the Zealot was also crucified. And lastly, Judas Iscariot, hung himself after throwing away the 30 pieces of silver he had been paid with.See the video and find out the rest of the story of how these martyrs died!
