"Thriller", Jackson's seventh and final single release from his 1982 studio album of the same name, received high acclaim from contemporary music critics. This disco-funk song has continued to be a favorite song to be covered not only by solo artists but bands as well.
In the video, for example, the United States Navy Band performed the chart-topping song during a live concert on the Avenue at the U.S. Navy Memorial in 2015. The performance was arranged by Senior Chief Musician Scott Silbert, played by the United States Navy Band, along with Sea Chanters, Cruisers, and Concert Band. It was conducted by Capt. Brian Walden and features Musician First Class Maia Rodriguez. Their spectacular performance came complete with the iconic dance moves of the song.
According to the Wikipedia, the United States Navy Band serves as the United States Navy's official musical organization and they perform all styles of music - from ceremonial pieces to classical, rock, jazz and country hits. The United States Navy Band serves the ceremonial needs at the seat of government, performing at presidential inaugurations, state arrival ceremonies, state funerals, state dinners, and other significant events.
