Watch how Dolphins create "bubble rings"

A toroidal vortex, or a vortex ring, is a doughnut shaped vortex in a fluid. According to Wikipedia, it is "a region where the fluid mostly spins around an imaginary axis line that forms a closed loop." It is said to be similar to smoke rings only this one’s a vortex formed by smoke in a clear atmosphere instead of in a fluid.

Dolphins creating extraordinary Toroidal Vortices

Yes, it sounds complicated but it is an extraordinarily beautiful phenomenon. Watch the video below and look how volcanoes and hydrogen/atomic bombs create huge smoke rings.

Also, watch and see for yourself how these playful dolphins (aren't they cute?), beluga whales, humpback whales, and humans create awesome vortex rings!

We're sure you'll want to try doing it too in your next swimming trip!
