Man pretending as Police Officer, arrested

In a report by Chona Carreon from GMA-Cebu's Balita Pilipinas, a man named Dojie Canindo who posed himself as a police officer was walking around South Road Properties in Cebu. He donned a Regional Public Safety Batallion police uniform and what looked like a real weapon but was without a badge.

However, a real policeman came and asked him questions to prove his legitimacy but he failed to answer said questions that a police officer should know. He was then brought to the police station where he said that he only wore the uniform because it has been his dream to be one for so long.

When the police investigated further, they found out that Canindo was convicted of rape last 2003 and was given a parole after 10 years as he was released in 2013.

Canindo is now facing multiple cases against him, including illegal use of uniform and insignia, illegal possession of gun replica, and violation of the Comelec gun ban.
