Cute Pufferfish pinched by Lobster after being transferred to the aquarium

Lobsters have long bodies with muscular tails, five pairs of legs (wherein three have claws), and live in crevices or burrows on the sea floor. They are often seen sold at supermarkets (rather than pet shops) as they are highly prized seafood.

On the other hand, a pufferfish, also known as blowfish, balloonfish, and globefish, is a small to medium-sized fish that fills its extremely elastic stomach with water (or air when outside the water) until it is much larger and almost spherical in shape as a defense mechanism. Although majority of pufferfish species are toxic and some are among the most poisonous vertebrates in the world, they are considered as a delicacy in Japan and China.

Both the lobster and the pufferfish could actually be kept as pets given. However, it should be noted that the tank should be big enough for the lobster (minimum 100 gallons) and to keep it away from small fishes as these small fishes will get killed.

Sadly, in the video, this aquarium owner wasn't aware of that as he placed his newly-acquired pufferfish in a tank that already housed a lobster. By the 3:55 mark on the video, the pufferfish had swam close enough to the lobster that the lobster immediately strike it with its claw, clamping the pufferfish in between. The lobster retreated inside a glass encasing to probably eat its prey, however, the surprised and disappointed fish owner tried saving the pufferfish but it was already too late.

Check out the video and hear the rest of his reaction to when the pufferfish got eaten by a lobster!
