Video of LRT Train running with its door open goes viral!

It was March 10, 2016 around 6 pm when the video was posted. According to him, he and his friend rode LRT1 from Central Station when he noticed that the train door didn’t close though the train started to run until Pedro Gil station where an investigation was held on the door. He admitted that it really shocked him when the guard told them to just hold on tight.

The LRT train was running fast while its doors are left open as seen from the video.

James Cubelo compared the gripping moment to Star City, which is a known amusement park in the Philippines. He claimed that he didn't thought of filming the incident at first because he was completely nervous. However, despite the fact that what happened was really dangerous for their safety, he said that he still enjoyed the moment.

The video was both alarming and funny because of the graduating student's caption. He said that when they rode the LRT, it was really crowded but when they knew that the door was open, the crowd immediately s dispersed!

James Cubelo is calling out to the LRT1 staff about the incident.

The viral video has been shared over 51,777 times,10,346 comments and has a whooping 52, 000 likes as of this writing.

According to a Philstar article by Patricia Lourdes Viray, on Fraiday, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) made an apology to all the train passengers of the LRT1. According to them, they have a safety policy that no train with a door fault should leave the station or the depot.

The LMRC made certain that the operations, engineering and safety teams will look into the unpleasant incident and will address the issue.
