Volunteers rescued a poor street dog suffering from life-threatening infection on the face
One of the animals they rescued was a street dog suffering from a life-threatening abscess on his face. An abscess is a swollen area within body tissue, containing an accumulation of pus, in this case, the dog’s face is visibly swollen because of the abscess in it.The volunteers from the Animal Aid had to capture the frightened dog with a net as it was obviously very wary of people and because it refused to be touched by people although the dog would go near them.
They immediately treated the dog, inserting a drainage tube and then suturing the wound. Two weeks later, the dog’s face had shrunk to its normal size and was on his way to recovery as he could also be seen adjusting well with interacting with his caretakers.
