Huge waves almost drowns a ship with 1,000 passengers

Shot by someone who seemed to be aboard a helicopter, a cruise ship had it rough as it sailed on sea that particular day.

A storm seemed to be causing huge waves and, in effect, almost making the ship to capsize.

These kind of waves are called rogue waves, or freak waves, monster waves, episodic waves, killer waves, extreme waves, and abnormal waves. According to Wikipedia, they are relatively large and spontaneous surface waves that occur far out in open water, and are a threat even to large ships and ocean liners.

Furthermore, these waves are especially dangerous because they "are rare, unpredictable, may appear suddenly or without warning, and can impact with tremendous force."

The thousand passengers must've felt scared (we know we would be if we were in there!) as the waves rocked the enormous cruise ship that probably weighed tons as if it was a flimsy rubber duck in the bath.
