According to the website www.japan-guide.com, the celebration of the festival is every August along the Shinano River, near the Nagaoka Station, Niigata Prefecture. The event is celebrated for two nights, an hour of fireworks display featuring the big names in the Japan's firework industry.

The said event is the most spectacular of all the fireworks shows in Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
