Sudden Lightning Bolt Strikes the Shore

Lightning travels both up and down and can approach the ground at speeds estimated to be 200,000 miles per hour. But the video below is in slow motion so the lightning can be seen frame by frame for maximum effect! Watch as the bright light flash downwards and appear to slowly disintegrate into wisps of fire.
It was a good thing no one was swimming in the beach that day as a bolt of lightning has been estimated to be as hot as 54,000 degrees Fahrenheit – about six times hotter than the surface of the sun!
