A Wild Python Swallowing an Opossum Whole
While, Opossum is an american marsupial that has a rat like prehensile tail and feet with an opposable thumb. Opossums are scavengers, and they often visit human homes or settlements to raid garbage cans, dumpsters, and other containers. As we can see on the video, the opossum is obviously looking for his food but the python is also searching for his food. The python starts wriggling forward the opossum, then he bit the opossum’s head and began to chew his tiny bones. His mouth increased from its original size and he swallowed whole the body of the poor opossum. Opossum is the prey of the predator python. Pythons are ambushers and have a forked tongue that helps them detect odor from potential prey. They don’t attack humans unless they’re provoked to. Pythons usually digest their prey for one week but it depends of how big he has eaten, on this case python can easily digest this small opossum for one to two days only.
