Would dare to ride this "real-life" flying hoverboard?

If you've seen the Back to the Future (1989) movie, you'd know that the future depicted in the movie has already come and go: 2015. Some of the movie's technological predictions have come true but there was one that many pointed out to be missing. In the movie, Michael J. Fox's Marty McFly used a pink hoverboard, which is similar in appearance to a skateboard but this one enables the rider to fly.

The first real-life flying hoverboard was developed by a Canadian Inventor

Since 2015 came, many have been anticipating for someone to build an actual, working hoverboard. Here is where Canadian inventor Catalin Alexandru Duru comes in.

In the video below, you can see him use what he calls the "the first real-life hoverboard" that can be stood on and "controlled with your feet." It is powered by propellers and it took him over a year to create this.

He tested his hoverboard in Lake Ouareau in Quebec, Canada and set out to achieve a new Guinness World Record for "longest journey on a hoverboard." He succeed at endeavour, having surpassed the needed 50 meters, or 164 feet, with riding/flying to 276 meters, or 905 feet.

It's a little bulkier than McFly's but it's a start!
