Jude Ryder the owner of Mrs. T, spent more than $1,000 in medical bills. She was afraid that she was going to let go of the 90-year-old tortoise. But she had her last option.
Jude asked her mechanical engineer son for help. Her son Dale attached the wheels from an aircraft to her shell.
It was like fitting her with a turbo charger – she’s going double the speed she used to,said Ryder.
She uses her back legs to push herself along. She seems quite happy, but it’s difficult to tell with a tortoise.
That wheel saved her life and makes her faster than ever!
She could go on for another 50 years - all she needs is a new set of tires every now and again, she added.

Her new set of wheels have saved her life. She has the run of the garden again and we can always find her because she leaves very strange tracks behind wherever she goes.
